Genuine Baltic Cognac Amber teardrop in a Sterling Silver pendant hanging from an 18" Italian made Sterling Silver chain. The pendant has a drop of roughly 18mm. 
Amber is a fossilized tree resin, sourced more commonly from Poland and solidified over a minimum of 40 million years.
Pieces of Amber usually contain tiny inclusions that became trapped in the resin as it flowed from the tree. Occasionally they will also contain tiny little insects. The fascinating thing about these inclusions is knowing that you're looking at something that is in the same state it was over 40 million years ago! 
Amber is perhaps most commonly known for its use as a teething aid for babies, but it's also said to be great at:
