These charming pressed glass jars feature classic starburst and almost snowflake-like motifs. These intricate edges catch the light beautifully, and the bottom design is stunning on its own. Originally part of a vintage vanity set, they now make elegant holders for jewellery, crystals, or other small treasures.
The really interesting thing about these old jars is that they are manganese glass, which glows a lovely light green under UV 365 light. Not as bright as Uranium glass but lovely and highly collectable regardless.
The underside of the lids do contain really tiny chips, which seems to be common with these jars that are used. It doesn't effect their use and I have made sure there are no tiny pieces loose. The jars have visible seams from when the hot glass was pressed into the moulds and have a few visible bubbles.
These are beautiful jars, useful for just about anywhere you want to store things like rings, small jewellery or little crystals.
They measure approximately 7cm wide x 4.5cm high.
